Description
I made this great basket using some natural and dyed reed in “wood hues” color tones. This basket combines pinkish-peach-brownish and purple dyed reed woven with plain natural reed. It is a great way to add some color to any wall. The actual basket is 7 inches tall (with the hanger (bronze wire) – it is an additional 3.25 inches, so just over 10 inches), 7 inches wide, and 6.5 inches deep at the top. Please take a look at all the pictures as the colors of this basket take on different hues depending on the light. It is not coated or treated with anything.
When I made the basket, I knew it needed something to give it a bit of pizzazz. And the spruce cones answered the call! They are real and were collected by me. 🙂 I tried to have a few pictures to accurately show the color of the reed. It is not an easy color to describe!
These baskets are not designed to hold anything heavy, but look fabulous with flowers or other decoration in them! They can hang on a wall, on a doorknob, anywhere you want a basket that does not take up too much room and does not need to sit on a flat surface.
